After purchasing a brand new domain, it is firstly required that you have pointed the domain with your hosting. To do this, you need to appoint nameservers in your domain. This name server address varies as different hosting companies have their own name servers. No matter which hosting service are you belonging but the process for all is the same, that is login to domain dashboard and add to nameserver addresses.

Now you need to check dns record via name server checker to confirm that you have successfully pointed the domain with your hosting.

How to use name server checker:

Step 1: go to LeafDNS site by click here.

Step 2: After going to the above website, you will see the page just like the below screenshot:

Step 3: Go to New Test text input box and insert your website url and press GO button.

Step 4: If your name servers are properly added with your domain then it will show up with a green tick mark just like the bellow image:

If you see that DNS records not showing here and seeing “Red Cross” instead of “Green Tick Mark” then your domain is not pointed yet. Since the propagation period is from 24 hours to 48 hours for any domain to be perfectly reflected and to be ready for work. Therefore, it is very important that you checked name server is populated properly.

If you have seen any issue or error at the time of pointing name server with hosting. Don’t be panic because it doesn’t mean you are have ruined everything.
